1,000 tickets sold already for Louis Tomlinson’s Doncaster Rovers debut

More than 1,000 tickets have already been sold for pop star Louis Tomlinson’s debut in a Doncaster Rovers shirt.

In less than 24 hours since tickets went on sale, phone lines have been jammed with 600 being sold in the first few hours of yesterday.

The One Direction star’s appearance for Rovers’ reseves v Scunthorpe United in the Central League on September 18 is expected to draw in scores of young female fans from across the country.

The game is to raise money for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and comes after the Bessacarr star, 21, was given Rovers’ squad number 28 last month.

Doncaster Rovers season ticket holders and Rovers Alliance members will be granted free admission into the fixture (1 ticket per book/membership) – tickets must be requested from the Ticket Office.

Rovers fans with a ticket purchasing history for the 2013/14 season (multi-package holders and match tickets) will be able to purchase tickets for £1.00 (adults) and £0.50 (concessions)

Discounted tickets for season ticket holders and those fans with a Doncaster Rovers ticket purchase history are only available in the West Stand only and are subject to availability.
