The Aurora fashion show celebrated its tenth anniversary in style helping to raise more than £15,000 to help treat cancer patients in Doncaster.

Money is still coming in thanks to the thousands who supported the inspirational event which saw cancer patients strut their stuff down the runway wearing fashion from leading retailers.

Coun Eva Hughes, former civic mayor and Wheatley ward councillor, presented a cheque for £5,000 on the night, money she has raised during her year in office.

The sell-out audience over two nights at The Dome cheered as colourful, glamorous and dramatic fashion was shown to well known music which had everyone clapping and joining in.

A poignant tribute was also paid show to friends the Aurora have lost over the years with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne sung in their memory.

Aurora which has bases at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Mexborough Montagu hospitals provides beauty treatments and other support to cancer patients.
