Wizard time at Oz classic
FOLLOW the yellow brick road, over the rainbow and into Sheffield City Hall as Manor Operatic Society return once again with their production of The Wizard of Oz, running through to this Saturday.
Click your heels together and join Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion and the little dog Toto, as they embark on a journey through the magical Land of Oz to meet the Wizard and gain their hearts’ desire. But watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for all the family.

Going mad for Madness
ONE of Yorkshire’s biggest outdoor gigs looks set to be a sell-out, with limited availability for many of the concert packages, as hundreds rush to secure tickets and hospitality places at the Madness concert taking place at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday, June 30.
The iconic London band, fronted by charismatic Cockney Suggs, are set to return to the Town Moor course for a second time, having performed at Doncaster Racecourse in 2008.
Known globally for their 21 top twenty singles over seven years - including It Must Be Love, House of Fun and Our House - the band, which first shot to fame in the late seventies, will take to the stage after a late afternoon of racing, at the Construction Index live music night.

Rocking in the aisles
ROCK ‘n’ roll is heading to Doncaster when the West End sell out sensation Dreamboats and Petticoats comes to town.
The musical, featuring some of the greatest hit songs of the era, will take over The Dome from September 10–15.
In 1961 emotions run high as young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song writing competition and, more importantly, the attention of the gorgeous Sue.
But when Bobby discovers that shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons...

Psychic Sally set for Dome
INTERNATIONALLY renowned psychic Sally Morgan is all set to show off her skills at The Dome next month.
Sally’s new TV series is currently being shown on Living every Tuesday at 9pm. The 8-part series follows Sally as she tours the country performing to huge audiences as well as offering one-to-one readings to enthused fans and celebrities including Strictly Come Dancing’s Brendon Cole and Ricky Whittle and How Clean Is Your House? star Kim Woodburn.
The show, which gets under way at 7pm, is rescheduled from December 11 last year.

Master class for Camerata
ENJOY an evening celebrating great English music written for the chamber orchestra and performed by Manchester Camerata at the Civic Theatre next month.
Camerata’s leader and top violinist Giovanni Guzzo takes centre stage to perform Vaughan Williams’ delicately impressionistic The Lark Ascending as one of the show’s highlights.
The evening also features works by Elgar, Kerkour, Vaughan Williams and Haydn.
The show, entitled English Masters, gets under way at 7.30pm and tickets are available now from the box office.
