women desperate to turn back the clock are starting to look beyond anti-wrinkle creams to recapture their youthful glow.

Women and men desperate to find out how to reclaim their youth went along to the Thorne Road based spa for a ten years younger event to try out some of the procedures on offer.

Sandy Green nurse prescriber and owner of Elements MediSpa said: “We are hosting the event to support all those prospective clients who’d like to discover how we can help them get the skin they’ve always wanted or perhaps diminish those fine lines and wrinkles which have crept up on them over the years.

“No longer does anyone have to accept the hand that time and genetics dealt them and, with the latest products, techniques and procedures available on their doorstep, it may be easier than they thought to get the look they desire.”

During the event visitors were treated to demonstrations and tasters of anti-ageing treatments, a free computerised skin analysis and staff were also on hand to offer advice and consultations and consultant plastic surgeon Sultan Hassan was also available to discuss his revolutionary cosmetic procedures including the one-stitch facelift.

The one-stitch facelift that is becoming a firm favourite amongst clients is done under local anaesthetic and involves having just one stitch on each side of the face, buried in the hair line.

Speaking at the event head therapist Natalie Blogg said: “It is getting really important these days for people to look good for work, for social occassions as well.

“People are getting the chance to have tasters of different treatments that we offer asuch as the microdermabrasion and LED light Therapy and a lot of people are having consultations with our surgeon because surgical procedures aer becoming a lot more popular in Doncaster.

“Where people can have a procedure done under a local anesthetic rather than under a general anesthetic.

“At the minute we only offer surgery under local anesthetic but there is a demand in the area for procedures under general anesthetic so that is something we are hoping to offer in the future.”

Helen Adams, of Roman Road, Bennetthorpe ,has been taking advantage of the treatments at Elemenets for the past few years.

She said: “I like to have facials regularly.

“I think there is more and more pressure to look your best but I don’t have treatments for anyone else, I just like to do it for myself.”

A man, who did not want to be named, said: “I think there’s just as much pressure for men to look good.

“Over the years things like botox have become more affordable so I think more people are doing it.

“There is a lot of pressure to look good.”

For residents happy to grow old gracefully the Thorne Road business also has a luxurious spa featuring an aromatherapy room, crystal steam room, Saunarium, infra-red sauna, Rasul mud chamber, whirlpool, foot spas and ice shoots that visitors were able to explore.
