Thomas the tank engine and his friends are set to roll into Doncaster – sending youngsters and families loco-motive!

The Dome will be hosting the Thomas & Friends Live! On Stage: A Circus Comes To Town show on Sunday 15th May 2011.

The spectacular event will see Thomas the Tank Engine™ and his pals Percy, James, Gordon, Sir Topham Hatt and townspeople from the Island of Sodor entertain audiences live in person.

They’re joined by a colourful cast of circus performers in an engaging story that demonstrates the importance of friendship and under the Big Top co-operation.

Michael Hart, general manager at Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, said: “Thomas the Tank Engine is a well loved character and this show is set to be a showstopping, fun filled event for all the family. We are delighted to be able to bring such entertainment to the people of Doncaster.”

This all new 90-minute musical adventure is packed with audience sing-a-longs, high energy dancing and thrilling adventures.

Children embark on adventures with their engine friends while experiencing timeless life lessons of discovery, friendship and cooperation so you can guarantee an educational, fun experience for youngsters.

Thomas the Tank Engine was created by a father for his son more than 60 years ago and today is enjoyed by families in more than 145 countries.

The blue engine and his friends invite children to enter a world of imagination through the tracks of a train and the words of a story.
