Archaeology is top of the list when it comes to the job of choice among us Yorkshire folk, according to a recent survey carried about by Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
Bucking national trends, it revealed that the escapades of adventurer Indiana Jones were more appealing than the luxurious lifestyles of pop stars and famous footballers.
Shoppers were asked what they wanted to be when they grew up as part of a social media competition held by the region’s favourite Shopping Centre and bone collectors came up trumps, shortly followed by doctors and nurses.
Among the explorers and carers, a few shoppers expressed their desire to earn a living as chocolate tasters and even goblins.
Alex Caley, Events Manager at Meadowhall said: “We were certainly surprised to read that archaeology topped the list when it came to our shoppers dream job!
“Social media allows us to better interact and listen to our customers, and in doing so we hope we can gain further insights and understanding into them and what they need in order to improve the overall customer experience.
“We are currently planning activity for the rest of year, and who knows, on the back of this survey, we may look to introduce some archaeology lessons or special screening of Indiana Jones!”
