Seany's Show
IF you are a lover of the Emerald Isle and comedy, you're in for a treat in this week's Freetime Fab5Guide.
Because St Patrick's Day is nearly upon us once again, two of Britain's most popular stand-up comedians are both in town over the next few days - even though they come from opposite ends of the comedy spectrum.
Irish funnyman Sean Hughes comes to town as part of the month-long HotHouse arts, dance and music festival while also telling gags of a slightly different nature will be the king of blue comedy, Roy "Chubby" Brown who is back at The Dome for another sell-out show.
Celebrating Ireland's national day wouldn't be the same without some music and The Winning Post at Balby will be hosting a special fund-raising music night - with pie and peas on offer to keep guests happy, no doubt as they indulge in a pint or two of Guinness.
Meanwhile, if you fancy a spooky St Pat's day, head over to the Isle of Axholme as Epworth marks March 17 with some ghostly goings on on the famous Epworth Ghost Walk.
HUGHES THAT THEN?
ACCLAIMED stand-up comic Sean Hughes, one of Britain's best-loved comedians, comes to town as part of this year's HotHouse arts festival.
The youngest comic ever to win the Perrier Award for his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 1990, Sean is back with a brand new show, What I Meant To Say Was..., bursting at the seams with the darkly brilliant, self-deprecating barbed wit that has kept him at the top of his game ever since.
The star of The Last Detective, Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Sean's Show has been at the forefront of the British comedy scene for more than 20 years and his explosive style and quick fire audience banter have made him a household name.
