A Doncaster band are celebrating after working with producers who have helped carved the career of Bob Marley and The Rolling Stones.
And Bang Bang Romeo have also been given a stamp of approval by Radio 1 after their new song Carnival was Huw Stephens’s pick of the week on his In New Music We Trust Show and features on his podcast.
Speaking about the success bassist Joel Phillips said: “We are still pinching ourselves and are massively excited about it all really, it’s mental hearing them mention “the best in new music featuring Bang Bang Romeo” on prime time Saturday BBC Radio 1.
“We have also been in Parr Street studios in Liverpool recording our follow up single Revolver with legendary producer Tony Platt who has worked with the likes of AC/DC and Bob Marley. The studio itself has seen the likes of Coldplay, Elbow, The Coral and even Rihanna record there.
“It just really feels like everything is clicking into place for us at the moment, almost like fate.”
Bang Bang Romeo’s EP We Were Born produced by the legendary Chris Kimsey, of Rolling Stones and INXS fame, will be available to download on March 29 and available for pre-order at www.pledgemusic.com/projects/bangbangromeo
