Cheers! A beer made by a leading Yorkshire brewer based at Wombwell is the monthly choice at the Houses of Parliament.

The Acorn’s ‘Yorkshire Pride’ features in the Strangers’ bar throughout May, as the award-winning brewery expands.

New Sales Executive Sheryll Haigh will develop business on both sides of the Pennines, while new assistant brewer Matthew Shaw gets busy with the beer.

The appointments follow month-on-month sales growth in the brewery’s tenth anniversary year, as it sells over 28,000 pints per week to pubs, bars and restaurants across the UK. Acorn Brewery MD Dave Hughes (left) and Brewery Manager David Broadhead (right) hold up pints of Yorkshire Pride.
