Following a six-year hiatus and a massive reunion with Genesis, Mike Rutherford has joined forces with one of the UK's most successful R&B acts Andrew Roachford and Canadian born singer and actor Tim Howar for a new generation of Mike & The Mechanics.
The new line up are set to perform to a South Yorkshire audience as the play the Dome on April 28 2011.
The original Mike & The Mechanics formed in 1984, as a side project that would go onto sell over 10 million albums.
The band scored hit with the tracks 'Silent Running', 'All I Need Is A Miracle', 'The Living Years' and 'Over My Shoulder'.
Michael Hart, General Manager of the Dome said: "Mike & the Mechanics have a fantastic following and their fans have not had the chance to hear them live in over six years.
"We are really looking forward to welcoming the new line up to Doncaster."
Andrew Roachford, one of the most successful UK acts of the 90s, and a prolific songwriter with his hits 'Cuddly Toy' and 'Only To Be With You' is co-writing and sharing the vocal duties on the new album and tour with Tim Howar a Canadian actor/singer who formed the band Vantramp who supported Rod Stewart, Paulo Nutini and Newton Faulkner.
Tickets cost 35 for the balcony and 40 for everywhere else in the hall. The doors open at 7.30pm.
