Construction of a new Hungry Horse pub will begin soon in Doncaster and local residents are being asked to come up with a suitable name.
An exact start date for the development is not yet known but the pub is expected to open its door around Christmas time.
The pub, which will be within the food court in the Frenchgate Shopping Centre in the town centre, will create around 40 full and part-time jobs.
Matt Brown, business unit director for Hungry Horse, said: “We are very excited about this addition to Hungry Horse and to be bringing our fun, great value and family friendly pub to the shopping centre.
“We are inviting local residents to help the company choose a suitable locally-themed name for the new pub and restaurant.
“We want to ensure our name reflects the local area and has been chosen by its future customers.”
The pub will have a contemporary look, including include leather booth seating areas complete with their own televisions.
With a play area for children and Sky Sports and pool for the adults, bosses hope there will be something at the venue to keep everyone entertained.
Name suggestions should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with an explanation of why it has been chosen.
All entries must be received by Monday August 18 and the winner will be selected on this day.
The winner will be awarded a £50 Hungry Horse gift card.
If more than one person suggests the same winning name then a winner will be chosen at random.
Hungry Horse is Greene King’s range of family friendly pubs.
Doncaster already has one of the chain, The Cumberland pub which is established in Thorne Road
