BUDDING movie makers from the Isle have just a few weeks to submit their work in the Scunthorpe Young People’s Film Festival.
The festival is open to those aged from eight to 25 years who can submit original films in a competitive showcase.
Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories, including fiction, animation, documentary, intergenerational and mobile phone/viral.
Each section will be split into three age ranges, eight to 11, 12 to 16, and 17 to 25 years.
Axholme North ward member, Councillor John Briggs, is the cabinet member for Asset and Estate Management and Sport, Leisure and Culture.
He said: “We want to hear from all North Lincolnshire’s talented young filmmakers.
“The Scunthorpe Young People’s Film Festival is a marvellous opportunity for the area’s young people to show off their creativity.
“You might be at school or college, a youth centre or community group, in a film club or working by yourself or with friends, we want to hear from you and see your films.”
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 1. All qualifying films will be screened at the Base Youth Arts Centre between March 1 and 3.
