Doncaster’s skies are set to dazzle when a sporting venue gets Bonfire Night celebrations underway next month.
Doncaster Racecourse’s fireworks extravaganza is set to wow crowds of up to 5,000 when it plays host to the HallamFM Spectacular on Saturday, 1 November as part of a 40 year celebration for the radio station.
The Town Moor event will feature entertainment for all of the family including fairground rides, live entertainment including music from top UK tribute act Re-Take That, a kids’ disco, food and drinks stalls and much more. The venue also offer a large sheltered viewing area to protect crowds from any adverse weather.
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster Racecourse, said: “We’ve been delighted with the response to our fireworks displays in the past and I’m thrilled to that we’re set to host the HallamFM Spectacular. The event will be one of the first for the region so we are expecting thousands of guests through the doors to enjoy a stunning fireworks spectacular. Thanks to our large sheltered viewing area, the event won’t be at the mercy of the weather.
“The HallamFM Spectacular is expected to be a fantastic evening out for family and friends alike and I urge those who wish to attend but haven’t yet purchased a ticket to do so in advance to avoid disappointment or queuing on the night. People are also encouraged where possible to use public transport and shuttle buses will be available. The racecourse does have extensive parking for those who need to travel by car.”
The HallamFM Spectacular will take place from 6pm until 9.30pm and family tickets are available from £10 when booked in advance.
The Racecourse 101 shuttle service will run from the Doncaster Interchange to Doncaster Racecourse starting around 5:15pm until 7:30pm. The return shuttle will leave Doncaster Racecourse from 9pm onwards.
