Legendary entertainer Barry Humphries - whose alter egos have brought him international acclaim and made him a star around the globe – is to bring his Farewell Tour to Leeds next month.
The show will give audiences the chance to bid farewell to Humphries and the unforgettable Honorable Sir Les Patterson, Sandy Stone and, of course, the iconic Dame Edna Everage.
“Housewife superstar” Dame Edna is one of the greatest stars of the last 50 years having played the West End and Broadway performing to packed theatres, including the Royal Albert Hall at the Last Night of the Poms, as well as countless performances for the Royal Family. Television credits include the legendary UK special A Night on Mt. Edna as well as her own innovative chat show The Dame Edna Experience.
Surrounded by spectacular sets and dancers, Dame Edna promises to “empower” audiences as she meditates on the big issues of gender, ethnicity and climate change.
Humphries has already taken his final triumphant bow to audiences throughout Australia and New Zealand where, due to extraordinary demand for tickets to see the iconic performer, additional performances needed to be added across the tour.
Barry Humphries Farewell Tour is at Leeds Grand Theatre from Tuesday February 25th to Saturday March 1st 2014.
Tickets are on sale now priced from £20 to £47.50. Premium tickets available.
