BARNSLEY’S Christmas Craft Market begins at 9am next Friday.

Over 40 local craft stalls will sell items including hand-made jewellery, cupcakes, hand-made leather goods, Christmas cakes, Christmas trees, hand-made floral gifts and cards, preserves and hand-made clothes.

Visitors will have a choice of six traditional Christmas food vendors, and can keep the chills at bay in the Schwabisch Gmund Society’s mulled wine tent.

Entertainment throughout the weekend will be provided by the Frumptarn Guggen Band and other guests.

The Christmas Craft Market will be open 9am to 7pm Friday on November 30, 9am to 5pm on December 1 and 9am to 4pm on December 2.

The traditional Barnsley markets and cafés are also open on Friday and Saturday.
