THE ST LEGER is nearly upon us - so get under starters' orders for a feast of fun over the coming week.
While racing might not start until next week, there's plenty lined up of St Leger Festival Week include a string of events in and around the town including visits from acclaimed TV chef Hardeep Singh Kohli and Yorkshire-based chart stars Terrorvision.
Elsewhere, its the final fake festival of the summer and the ever popular Aurora Care To Run charity race returns to Sandall Park. Read on for full details...
1. RACING CERTAINTY!
RACE headlong into this year's St Leger Festival with a host of fun events ahead of this year's racing spectacular which gets under way at Town Moor next Wednesday.
Doncaster Museum continues to host its Leger Festival exhibition until September 18, and tomorrow and Saturday sees a ladies' day market at Clock Corner with hats, handbags and perfume available in time for Ladies Day. There will be guided heritage walks to buildings and places associated with the Leger from tomorrow until September 12, fairgrounds at the Racecourse and in the town centre, a visit by Roman soldiers to showcase Doncaster's historic past and art displays at the Art Gallery in Chequer Road and at The Point. 2. THE NAKED TRUTH
GRAB a seat and tuck in for dinner as a guest of TV chef Hardeep Singh Kohli.
The celebrated broadcaster, raconteur, writer and cook combines comedy with inventive cuisine in a wonderfully funny laid back evening's entertainment.
Just think Ready Steady Cook - Hardeep was runner up on the first series of Celebrity Masterchef - with funny anecdotes all delivered by the Glaswegian in his own unique, articulate and utterly charming way.

3.3. VISION ON
BRADFORD based rockers Terrorvision will be turning up the music when they headline this year's Doncaster Live festival.
The Yorkshire based rockers, best known for their 1999 number two hit Tequila as well as other top ten smashes Bad Actress and Peserverance, will be the main attraction on Saturday's bill with punk metal favourites Goldblade, fronted by TV presenter John Robb, topping the bill on Sunday.
The free event in the Market Place will also feature a host of other local bands including The Winding Sheet, The Beaus and many more in a festival which has become one of the most eagerly anticipated on the Doncaster music scene.

4. FAKING IT
THE final Fake Festival of the summer 2010 season comes to Belton this Saturday - and showgoers can look forward to a feast of top bands.
Three tribute bands will be appearing - New2, who perform the music of U2, Stereotonics, who not surprisingly recreate the sound of the Stereophonics and The Really Hot Chili Peppers who will be rattling through a few RHCP classics.
There will also be support from local bands, celebrity lookalikes mingling with the crowd and food and drink stalls helping to serve up the full fake festival experience late into the night.

5. KEEP ON RUNNING
PULL your trainers on and put your best foot forward for a good cause as the popular Aurora Care To Run returns to Sandall Park.
Hundreds of runners of all ages, shapes and sizes will be out in force in Sandall Park for the third running of the 5K run along the park's paths with money raised going towards The Aurora Centre, the Doncaster-based charity which helps provide beauty and therapy treatments for cancer patients.
And this year, for the first time ever, there will be trophies for the fastest runners to complete the course, which is approximately three miles. There will also be other stalls and attractions for visitors to enjoy during the day. So get your trainers on and do your bit for a good cause too!
