Why should I support airport? SUPER, smashing, great idea that I, a pensioner deprived of his rightful private pension and paying full council tax should subsidise Robin Hood Airport.

After all, I have given a few billion pounds to prop up those in a failing building society and millions more to those who partied night and day and cannot now afford to buy a house.

Oh and those who borrowed 125 per cent and spent the difference! Not that there was any help when I worked a first year to buy a cycle to get me to work nor the lean 47 years toil after that.

Please remind me, was it Robin Hood giving to the poor or the other way round?

Tony Frost, Broad Lane, Sykehouse
