I UNDERSTAND that councillors are refusing to co-operate with the newly elected mayor, Mr Davies. I believe that the people of Doncaster have the right to know which elected members are behaving in this way, and why.
If the rebel councillors genuinely believe that Mr Davies is unsuitable to hold the position of mayor then let them come forward and share their views with the thousands of people, myself included, who voted for Mr Davies because we approve of his no-nonsense approach.

Great News, at last our elected councillors have got the message that 80% of Doncaster people did not vote for Davies and those that did have since realised his manifesto is full of black holes.

If the rebel councillors stand together and vote down the new Mayor budget we can go back to the ballot box, get rid of him and elect another Mayor, one who is not going to cut jobs, cut minority budgets, scrap sports and entertainment and kill off our Civic Arts and our great diversity of culture.

Doncaster need better, rebel councillors well done.

Rover2010, where did you get your figures from. Over 64% of DONCASTER people never voted at all, so how can they be included?????? Oh I get it, it is 80% of the 35.8% who could be bothered to vote. This letter writer is correct though in wanting an explanation from our elected councillors, as to why they cannot or will not work together with Mr Davis for the better of DONCASTER. I want a town that I can be proud of again, no matter what political party the people who succeed come from. They could be from The Raving Loony Party, as long as they get DONCASTER back to being a leader again.
