THIS morning I sat in my garden, on the eastern edge of Armthorpe, and I listened to a skylark and blackbirds singing... but for how long?
We are going to have built, on green fields, some more of those grey monstrosities called industrial units, some 30 metres from our homes - a lot of these homes on Wickett Hern Road belong mostly to senior citizens, what have we done to deserve this?

We already have the M18 with it's noise and pollution and planes from Finningley Airport with their filth as well.

Would Mr John Woodward like a few of these in his back garden? I don't think so!

Our property will go down in value, but who would want to buy them? All we have to look forward to in the next five years, because that's how long this phase is going to take, is heavy pollution, fumes, dirt, noise and the heartache and stress of it all.

Also, will we be getting a council tax rebate for the next five years?
These things affect a lot of people in Armthorpe, so are we all just going to let this happen? Or shall we show them what Yorkshire people are made of?? Let's do our best to fight this!
