What a mess as school heads go

WITH reference to the head teacher Dr Jan Campbell leaving Mexborough school. As a temporary measure Mr Coady from Hatfield High school is standing in. Is this to imply that Hatfield High school is running well enough and does not need Mr Coady on a full time basis?
If I was to suggest that all headmasters looked after two schools I am sure there would be arguments from the head teachers and their union against the idea.
At first I thought it was some emergency that required Mr Coady to stand in at Mexborough, but in reading the Free Press I discover that Dr Campbell is leaving to work for Doncaster Council. Surely when Dr Campbell was interviewed for her new role the council would have explained when the new job was to start and would have put plans in place to provide a relief at Mexborough or indeed employ another headmaster, and not poach one from another school in the area? Anyone leaving a job is usually expected to work the period of notice.
Has the council/education authority even started the interview process for a headmaster for Mexborough? Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?
