Pot holed and worn out roads
AFTER reading stories over the last few weeks in the Free Press, concerning Doncaster's pot holed and worn out roads also that the council are planning to buy and install ANPR cameras at a cost of £186.000 to find out where the traffic hotspots and congestion are.
Surely they should know because over the last six years or so, they have neglected road repairs to invest our money in creating at least 70 per cent of today's congestion. it is a disgrace to see the emergency services especially ambulances, struggling to get through backed up traffic, trying to meet response times to save people's lives. While the powers that be, pay people to sit in their cars, at congestion hot spots counting traffic.
Surely the real motive behind all this is to create a good argument to impose congestion charges on the already cash strapped people of Doncaster.
Come on Winter and co, let's hear the truth.
