YOUR assertion thast Sarah Stevenson is the only Olympic medallist ever to come from Doncaster is incorrect.
In the 1908 Olympics meeting at Shepherd's Bush, Norman Frederick Hallows of Hallgate, Doncaster, won a bronze medal in the 1500m track event, breaking the Olympic record in his heat.

He also won gold in the three-mile team event, finishing seventh overall.
