We the undersigned are obviously concerned about local election results in South Yorkshire where it is evident that there has been a significant vote for parties that are hostile to migrants.
This may not be surprising if you consider the hostile media coverage towards migrants and the widespread ignorance of benefits that migration brings to the region. We are concerned that there could be a reaction by other mainstream political parties locally and nationally to believing that the economic regeneration of South Yorkshire can be maintained without continuing migration to the area. What we need to sort is how we all share the benefits of migration.

Perhaps what is needed is a time for reflection by mainstream parties then an honest debate about the pros and cons of migration and we hope that this is possible within South Yorkshire over the coming months.

Concerned Donny Lad,

Actually, the election results show democracy in good working condition.
So many people vote for these "hostile" parties because they don't like what is happening. Miration watch think tank and others have recently published figures that show immegrant populations do not put as much into the economy as Govt state in their defence of uncontrolled immigration to the Country.
When we have so many unemployed and a local wage structure lower than the national average with jobs being filled by immigrant workers, leading to the loss of jobs for deserving, if not highly educated lower ends of society, why do you expect everyone to be falling over themselves to help newly arrived johnny come latelys?
What we need is a total stop to immigration, sort out the mess that is already in existance, repatriate those who have no right to be hare or have already been told no and start putting our own house in order before helping everyone else.
We can start with getting rid of the growing numbers of hand wringing, left wing, PC driven do gooders.
