TODAY

DANCING: Enjoy lunchtime ballroom dancing at the Parklands Ballroom, Wheatley Hall Road from 11.30am to 3pm. Dancing to live music from a resident organist with bar refreshments available. Admission is £2 with proceeds to charity. For further details contact Malinda on (01302) 884707.
EVENTS: A walking for health volunteer walk leader training day will be held from 9.30am to 4.30pm at Sandall Beat Visitor Centre. The course is for anyone aged 18 or over willing and able to lead community walks. Contact 300798 to
book a place.

THEATRE: The Dearne Playhouse, Goldthorpe, stages its version of Alice in Wonderland. Meet the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and the Evil Queen of Hearts for the show which starts at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and available on 01709 894128.

SATURDAY

CLUBS: Enjoy a mix of old skool classics at Trilogy every Saturday from 11pm with Back In The Day. Admission is £3 before midnight.

CLUBS: The smoothest R'N'B sounds will be served up by Henry Love in the Late Night Love Lounge at Trilogy from 3am to 6am. All drinks are £2 and admission is £4.

OUTDOORS: Woodland adventures, from pond dipping and shelter building to games and crafts, will form the basis of Junior Rangers at Sandall Beat Wood from 10am to noon. To become a member contact (01302) 300798.

THEATRE: The June Burns School of Dance presents the June Burns Variety Show 2009 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets for the show, which promises a performance packed with music and dance, takes place at the Civic Theatre and tickets are priced at £6.50 and £5.50 concessions.

WALK: The Ramblers Assocation concludes its Heron Way Walking Festival with a six mile walk from High Melton taking in the area's ancient villages and finishing at Hooton Pagnell. Participants should meet at High Melton College at 10.15am. The walk will take approximately three hours.

EVENTS: Haxey Methodist Church will stage its centenary celebrations today and tomorrow from 2pm to 6pm. Twelve gardens in the village will be open and admission is £3. Programmes are available from Greenhill Stores and Low Street stores prior to event.

EVENTS: boot sale will be held at Hall Cross Lower School, St Michael's Road, Bessacarr. The event starts at 9am for sellers and 9.30am for buyers and will run to 2pm.

SUNDAY

EVENTS: The regular Keepmoat Stadium car boot sale takes place from 6.30am to 12.30pm. Toilet and refreshment facilities will be available and further details are available on (01302) 862480.

EVENTS: Stamp Magic, an event for collecting enthusiasts, takes place at The Dome from 10am. Tickets are available from the box office on 01302 370777.

EVENTS: Green Guardians, free, fun environmental activities for you and your child to share, will be held at the Community Environment Centre, Sandall Beat from 10am to noon. Children aged up to 11 are welcome and youngsters must be accompanied by an adult.

WALK: The Dearne Valley Ramblers will be organising a coach trip to
Skipton for a variety of walks around the area. To find out more and book your place contact Barbara Brown on 01226 361601. The coach will depart from Queen Street car park at Swinton at 8am.

MONDAY

EXHIBITION: Cusworth Hall will be playing host to Gypsy Roma, a small display celebrating Doncaster's Gypsy Roma and Traveller heritage. The display will include a gypsy cart and runs until June 28.

DANCING: Social, ballroom and sequence dancing takes place at Bentley Pavilion every Monday from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. Contact 875027 for more information.

EVENTS: A charity event helping raise funds for Weston Park Cancer Hospital will take place when a pamper day is held at Thornhurst Manor Home, Owston from 10am to 4pm. Treatments will include manicures, nail art, pedicures, massage and much more with lunch included, priced at £49. Places can be booked on 01302 883112

TUESDAY

CLUBS: Step back in time with Pop at Trilogy. The fun starts at 11pm with entry 80p and drinks 80p all night. The playlist includes pop, indie, R 'n' B, dance and old skool classics.

EVENTS: Skipping classes take place at Sykehouse Village Hall every Tuesday from 7.30pm. Admission is £4 and more details are available on 01405 785086.

MUSIC: Doncaster Folk Club has a new home - the Masons' Arms pub at Doncaster market place. The club meets every Tuesday evening starting at 9pm. Everyone is welcome to come, whether to sing, play, or just listen.

WEDNESDAY

MUSIC: The William Appleby Chamber Orchestra will take centre stage at the weekly Doncaster Arts and Museum Society lunch hour concert at Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery from 1pm. Admission is £3 and £2 concessions.

THEATRE: The Little Theatre stages its version of Alice in Wonderland from today until June 27. The Lewis Carroll classic will be staged at 7pm on all nights and 2pm on June 27. Tickets are available from the box office on 01302 340422.

TALK: Frank Morley gives a talk, South Yorkshire Burials, at Doncaster Minster from 2pm. Tickets are available on the door priced at £2.

WALK: Dearne Valley Ramblers have arranged an evening stroll around Thrybergh Country Park from 6.30pm. The five mile walk is described as easy. Contact 01709 586870 for more details.
