RACING: Tonight the summer concerts continue at Doncaster Racecourse with Urban-i combining live music and sport. This week Tom Prendergast and Tobias will both play after the racing action. Tickets are available from www.doncaster-racecourse.co.uk and 01302 304200.
Friday

EVENT: Cusworth Hall is welcoming open air music this weekend with a special outdoor event. Music in the Park will run from tonight until Saturday evening with concerts starting at 8pm. Concerts include a performance by the
Doncaster Concert Band. Entrance for tonight is £8 and £6 for concessions, and on Saturday £7.50 for adults and £5.50 for concessions. For more information call 01302 782342.

Saturday
EVENT: The Doncaster Live Festival kicks off the in the Market Place. The event will see The Levellers, The Rascals, Elliot Minor and many more play from 6pm on an outdoor stage built specially for the event. The event continues until Sunday evening.

Sunday

EVENT: The Doncaster Live Festival continues from 2pm in the Market Place. The open air stage will play host to a selection of Doncaster bands and go on into the evening. For more information go to www.doncasterlive.co.uk.

Tuesday

GIG: Australian group Operator Please will be playing at The Priory tonight. The group, who have just released their debut album will be playing at the club with tickets available from www.seetickets.com.
EVENT: Free line dancing will be taking place at the Manton Social Club tonight. The dancing will also include sequence dancing and takes place from 1.30pm-4.30pm and 7.30pm- 11pm.

THEATRE: The Lincoln mystery plays begin tonight. The plays, taking place at Lincoln Cathedral will take place every day this week from 7pm. Tickets are priced at £23 each and can be bought from www.lincolncathedral.com.

Saturday

GIG: The Plug Festival will be taking place in Sheffield today. The Listeners will be playing with Richard Kitson and Stephen Barber while Area 15, The Hanging Men, The Reform and Viper Jungle will all play the festival. Tickets are £5 each and can be bought from www.the-plug.com.

Sunday

EVENT: The Splendour in Nottingham Festival takes place this weekend. Paolo Nutini, Rufus Wainwright, The Lemonheads, Duke Special and Liam Gerner will all play at Wallaton Hall in the city with day tickets priced at £25. Tickets can be bought from www.splendourfestival.co.uk.

Monday

THEATRE: A new production of Dr Dolittle will be coming to Sheffield this week. The production with Tommy Steele as the lead will run until July 26 at the Lyceum Theatre. Tickets are available from £16.50 and can be bought from the box office on 0114 249 6000.

Tuesday

THEATRE: The production Afrika! Afrika! Will begin in Manchester tonight. The Andre Heller production rolls theatre, art and dance into one performance in an engaging show. The production takes place at the Trafford Centre Grand Chapiteau and tickets can be bought from www.afrika.pte-ag.eu.

Wednesday

THEATRE: A new production of A Midsummer Night's Dream will begin its' run in Manchester tonight. The Heartbreak open air production will run until tomorrow night at Wythenshawe Park. For more information on tickets call 0161 998 2117.
