Thursday
EVENT: An afternoon with the author Marion Husband will be taking place today. The event will run from 2.30pm- 4pm at the Meeting Room in the Central Library.
MEETING: The Doncaster Astronomical Society will be meeting again tonight. The group will
be gathering at St George's House next to St George's Minster at 7.30pm to discuss the latest developments in the world of astronomy.

Friday
CONCERT: A traditional concert will be taking place at the Phoenix Theatre in Bawtry tonight. The show will feature performances from duo Liam and Allan along with accompaniment from Peter Barnard and Kate Bilmore. Tickets must be bought in advance from the Spar store in Bawtry or by calling (01302) 770992.
GIG: New hotly tipped group Operahouse will be playing at The Priory tonight. The band will be at the venue as part of their national tour and tickets will be available on the door.
EVENT: The Yorkshire Artists group will be meeting today at The Meeting Room in the Central Library. The group will be gathering from 1pm-3pm.

Sunday
EVENT: Cusworth Hall will be hosting a plant fair with a variety of plants and greenery today. The event is part of the Shire Plant Fair and will feature plants from 20 specialist nurseries offering rare and unusual bulbs, plants and shrubs. The event runs from 10am- 4pm. EVENT: An antique and collectors fair will be taking place at the racecourse today with admission priced at £3 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and children under 12 free. For more information and booking enquiries call 0161 283 1255 or 0161 766 2012.

Tuesday
THEATRE: A new production of Thoroughly Modern Millie will be starting its run at the Civic Theatre. The play follows Millie's move to New York in search of a new life. Tickets are priced at £10 on Tuesday and £12 Wednesday-Friday. For more information and to book tickets call the Civic Theatre box office on 349342.

Wednesday
GIG: Tonight at The Leopard you can see upcoming group Rosalita with Barnsley group Goodbye Good. The group are about to release their debut EP with Goodbye Good currently recording their first album on Inhaler Records. Entrance on the night is £4.

CONCERT: Tonight Frank Sinatra will come to Sheffield with a little help from new technology. The Sinatra Show will include original rare footage of the performer along with a live orchestra and dancers. CHILDREN: The live show of Thomas and Friends will start its run in Manchester tonight. The popular children's show will be performing at the Opera House until Sunday with tickets bought from the box office on 0870 401 9000.

Saturday
COMEDY: Comedian Nina Conti will be performing her unique show in York tonight. The ventriloquist will be performing at the Grand Opera House tonight with tickets priced at £14 and available from the box office on 08456 441881.

Sunday
CHILDREN: The Chuckle Brothers will be performing in York tonight. The couple will be appearing in Indiana Chuckles and the Mystical Sulk at the Grand Opera House at 2pm and 5pm. Tickets are priced at £12 and are available from the box office on 0870 606 3595.

Monday
THEATRE: A new production of Half A Sixpence will be taking place at the Lyceum Theatre tonight. The show will run until May 3 with tickets at a variety of prices from the theatre box office on 0114 249 6000.

Wednesday
GIG: Tonight at the City Hall in Sheffield you can see singing legend Billy Bragg. As part of his national tour he will be stopping at the venue for one night only with tickets priced at £16 from the box office on 01142 789 789.
