HE'S back - and he's looking to stir up a storm in his home town!
For legendary light entertainer Reece Lightning is heading back to Doncaster - and is looking on townsfolk to help him out with his latest project.
The all-round entertainer made a name for himself in the area by hosting a string of variety shows and charity appearances before upping sticks and deciding to follow his dream in the bright lights and big city of London last summer.

But he's decided to make a return to the area for his next project - a close-up focus on some of the town's best known faces.

He said: "I will be returning to Doncaster at the end of May with a film crew - and that's because I am making a new TV pilot.

"As host of the new show What Happened Here, I chose to come to my home town first off."

The TV documentary will look at famous people past and present who come from the town and will feature the likes of Lesley Garret, Paul Shane, Diana Rigg, Brian Blessed and will also focus on major events in the town's history - and will be looking at buildings such as The Grand Theatre.

Filming will take place out and about the streets of Doncaster - visiting the homes, streets, schools and workplaces frequented by the rich and famous in their early days.

And Reece is calling on locals to help him out with his latest venture, which he is working on in conjunction with Vibe Productions.

He said: "We need your help. What we need is information. We need people who know Doncaster, who know the history and anyone who is interested in appearing in the TV show.

"I am looking for anyone to show me where the stars lived. If the people who live in Donald Pleasance's former house in Conisbrough will they let us take a look at where the Hollywood legend started off from, we'd love to hear from them.

"We need Doncaster's help, a time line of the stars, their family background - anything at all really."

If the pilot show is a success, it is hoped to create a series which will then be screened across the network.
