HELLO one and all!

This weekend will be one of the best for music in a long time - which will almost certainly keep me in a good mood until August.
If you're not quite sure what I'm talking about, I suggest you flick through the rest of Freetime until you hit the piece on Doncaster Live.

Aside from this however, overshadowing the come down of the weekend are Operator Please who will be playing at The Priory on Tuesday night. Now this group are Australia's hottest band and with all members under the age of 25, they're a cute bundle of fun.

Having won the equivalent of a Brit Award in their home country, the group released their debut album on EMI earlier this year and toured with Lightspeed Champion.

They are definitely one of the must sees this week. Vintage Rockbar also continue their daytime shows with Nato, A Massacre at Dawn and Eighth Day Army tonight and Sex, War and Robots on Friday night.

Then over in Sheffield it is extremely quiet this week with not a single gig taking place.

Maybe word got round there's a festival on eh?
