SO it appears despite Glastonbury's main efforts to sell out the festival this year, it has remained that tickets are still available.
Many people have blamed it on the fact that the weather has deteriorated in previous years, but mainly Jay-Z is getting the hard end of the bargain when it comes to excuses. For those of you unfamiliar with Jay-Z's work, as you can probably guess fro
m the name, he is a rapper, and apparently rappers and Glastonbury don't get on.
You only need to see Noel Gallagher's recent rant about his opinion on the festival line-up to see where people stand, quoting thus: "Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go 'Kylie Minogue?' I don't know about it. But I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."
Of course Noel's Glastonbury performances didn't receive rave reviews and if I had a choice between Oasis and Jay-Z I know which one I'd choose....
