DONCASTER'S Little Theatre has another big line-up in store for the new season with musicals, hard-hitting drama, classics for the kids, psychic shows and even a chance for you to take part in the ever popular annual writers' festival.
The autumn/winter season kicks off in September with an enrolment night giving you the chance to take centre stage and show off your theatrical skills. The free nights on September 4 and 5 from 7.30pm will give wannabe actors a chance to see what the
Little Theatre is all about and who knows, you could be treading the boards in time for next season.
It's an all singing start to the season on September 6 with Straighten Up And Sing Right featuring Adwick Children's Community Choir and new local singing sensation Liam Wilson.

It's all about spectacular psychics in mid September as the Little Theatre welcomes Yorkshire's own national and international psychic, medium and clairvoyant Angelina who will be delighting Doncaster audiences with a spectacular two hour show of psychic demonstrations from September 15 to 20.

The children are in for a chocolately treat from October 6 to 11 with the Roald Dahl classic Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. The Phoenix Youth Theatre Production features Charlie Bucket in his adventurous tour of Willy Wonka's world famous factory in this colourful stage adaptation of Dahl's dark and timeless children's classic.

The third Doncaster Writers' Festival rolls in to town on October 18-25 for all those interested in writing and writers - and The Little Theatre is working hard to make this year's festival the best yet! Dates and times of events during the week will be available from the theatre nearer the time in a special brochure so make sure you get your copy and come along.

A chilling gothic horror story is brought to life from November 5-8 with Frankenstein following the story of a young scientist and the creature he creates. This tense play, full of macabre humour, reveals how the household is invaded with murder, terror and despair - a perfectly creepy and chilling experience for the Halloween season.

And Christmas time just wouldn't be complete without a traditional panto and with the classic Jack And The Beanstalk where you can expect brilliant magic, songs and singing along to topical jokes - in fact, all you would expect from a good Christmas show - and more. Oh, and there's a story about Jack, a cow, some beans and a giant in there somewhere.

To book tickets for any of the shows phone the box office on 01302 340422, which is open Monday to Friday between 4pm to 8pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm (also 6pm to 8pm on performance nights)
