PEOPLE are being warned not to risk their lives by swimming in rivers and lakes during the current warm spell.
The Safer Doncaster Partnership said more people are compromising their safety by cooling off in open water as temperatures in the borough soar.

A number of incidents of people swimming in rivers and lakes have been reported but nobody has had to be rescued after getting into difficulty, police said.

The partnership - made up of bodies including the police, fire service and Doncaster Council - is advising people to use the borough's leisure facilities if they want to swim.
