Pensioner, 78, arrested in drugs raid

A 78-YEAR-OLD man has been labelled the oldest suspected dealer in Doncaster after he was arrested during a drugs bust.
The pensioner was apprehend when police swooped on a house in Humber Court, Skellow.

Officers launched Operation Plough after receiving tip-offs from the public that a man was peddling class A drugs in the area.

Last Wednesday police carried out a surveillance operation around Humber Court and arrested a woman who had bought drugs.

Police then raided the house and recovered £1,000 worth of crack cocaine, £200 worth of heroin and £15 worth of cannabis.

The pensioner was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. He has been bailed pending further inquiries.

PC Paul Marsh said: "This was a successful operation. This man is the oldest person the drugs unit has arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs in Doncaster."

•A 26-year-old woman has also been charged with possession of class A drugs in connection with Operation Plough.
