BROCKHOLES farm is celebrating the surprise arrival of a bouncing new baby guanaco who caused quite a stir when it was born during visiting hours.
The cuddly baby guanaco, an animal traditionally born at night, shocked staff and visitors by arriving in the middle of the day while the Branton farm was open.

The small camel-like creature, the sex of which is not yet known, is taking to life on the farm well, according to Brockholes bosses.

Staff are encouraging visitors to come forward with name suggestions beginning with the letter 'A',. There will be an on site competition for the best suggestion for visitors – with a special prize of a year's adoption of the guanaco.

Brockholes Farm is open daily to visitors from 10.30 to 4.30 p.m.
