Man admits manslaughter of deaf woman

A 21-year-old has admitted the manslaughter of a deaf doncaster woman who died after a blaze ripped through her bedsit.
Matthew Gleadhill of Childers Street, Hyde Park pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to killing 27-year-old Sharon Long, of the same address, who died of burns injuries in an arson attack on her home.

Ms Long was rescued from her first floor flat by fire fighters but died from her injuries several hours later in hospital on November 26.

Gleadhill has been remanded in custody to await sentancing which is expected to take place at Sheffield in May on a date to be fixed.
