Hammer attack on woman in town centre
A WOMAN was attacked by a hammer-wielding youth after she was followed through Doncaster town centre by three boys.
The 30-year-old victim was followed through the car park in the market area by the teenagers, one of which was shouting at her.
When outside Rothwells fish and chip shop, in Copley Road, the youth pulled a lump hammer out of his pocket hitting the woman on her wrist with the weapon.
He then ran off down Copley Road.
The woman was taken to Doncaster Royal Infirmary with a broken wrist following the incident which happened at 2pm on Tuesday.
The offender was white, 15-years-old, about 5ft 2ins tall, and stocky. He was wearing a black and grey hoodie and light blue jeans.
The two other boys were also about 15-years-old.
