Today is Connect to your Council Day
Doncaster Council is making people aware of the range of services and information available on its website, giving local people a convenient and environmentally friendly way of contacting the council.

Residents can use the internet for free at li
braries across the borough a wide range of council services areavailable online. At the touch of a button, local people can do anything from paying their council tax or registering their child with a local school, to reporting fly-tipping or applying for a job.

A "carbon footprint" calculator has been put on the website as part of the campaign.

Mayor Martin Winter said:"I am delighted to be involved with the Connect to your Council campaign. Everyone needs to do their bit for the environment, and using the council's website to access information and services, rather than using paper forms, saves natural resources as well as time! Lots of council services are available on our website, so I'd encourage everyone to explore the site and use our online services wherever they can."

The 'Connect To Your Council Day' is part of Communities and Local Government's Take-Up Campaign, which aims to encourage local people to put themselves in control by accessing their local authority services online - anytime, anywhere.
