TEENAGE rugby league fan Craig Horne has designed a new logo for the Dons after they decided to drop the tag 'Lakers' from their name.
The 18-year-old graphic design student, from Bentley, contacted the club with his idea and new owners Shane Miller and Craig Harrison have decided to adopt it as their official crest.

Craig's design features two lions on either side of the badge to represent the lions on the town's crest and an academic mortarboard cap on top of a rugby ball to signify the Dons nickname.

Chief executive Miller said: "Craig's talents are amazing and we are lucky to have the services of such an enthusiastic and talented individual.

"The logo he has produced is a winner in everyone's eyes and I'm confident Craig's career and the club can develop in partnership over the years into something special."

Craig is now set to enrol on a graphic design course at Lincoln University.

He said: "Having my design as the club's new logo is a big honour and I will feel tremendously proud every time I see it representing the club."
