DONCASTER Athletics Club star Megan Ainsworth underlined her Paralympic potential by claiming a gold, silver and bronze at the Norwich Union National Junior Games last week.
The 15-year-old, who was making her debut at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium, finished first in the 60m wheelchair sprint, second in the shot put and third in the wheelchair basketball.
She also competed in the discus, shooting, fencing and weightli
fting and said she was leaving her options open ahead of the London Games.
Megan said: "It was my first time at the National Junior Games so I tried out lots of sports and the week went really well.
"I like almost every sport and I guess I'm a bit of an all-rounder which is a good sign but I will have to choose a sport to focus on at some point.
"Right now I'm enjoying trying and winning at lots of sports so I see no reason why I'd want to change.
"I am very competitive and I want to take sport seriously so I'm aiming for the 2012 Paralympics.
"If I could get there then I'd be absolutely delighted – it would be an incredible experience."
And the teenage ace, who was one of over 300 children from more than 25 schools that competed at the multi-sport event at Stoke Mandeville Stadium - the birthplace of the Paralympics in 1948 - is already looking forward to returning in 12 months time.
She added: "Hopefully next time I'll win even more medals.
"I really like the social side of being there and meeting everyone, but I also really want to win at everything I do."
