Scotland success for Hudson
REBECCA Hudson extended her excellent start to the 2008 season with third place in the Scottish Ladies Open at Loch Lomond last week.
The organisers had moved the event from September to May in order to take advantage of better weather conditions.
But heavy rain prior to the competition made the course play very long - only five competitors from a field of 114 players managed to finish under par.
Hudson's rounds of 72, 71 and 68 included four consecutive birdies during the last round with another being added at the 17th to finish three shots off the lead.
With the latest success she moves up the Ladies European Tour rankings to 12th place and the next event is the Turkish Ladies Open at Antalya National Golf Club next week.
