DONCASTER Rovers are winging their way closer to serious competitive action by spending the week at an RAF base.
Sean O'Driscoll's men checked in at RAF Cottesmore yesterday for five days of fitness and 'fun' activities.
They will remain at the base until Thursday - when the camp visit will conclude with a secret exercise designed to really put the players through their paces.
Jason Price, Richie Wellens, Sean McDaid and Gordon Greer, who all missed Rovers' first run-out of the season against Rossington Main last week through injury, have travelled with a full first team squad to Rutland.
Rovers continue their pre-season programme on Saturday against Scunthorpe at the Keepmoat Stadium (noon) before travelling to League Two side Morecambe next Tuesday.
