TICKETS for Doncaster Rovers' promotion play-off semi-final second leg at home to Southend United on Friday night went on general sale today.
Up to now they had only been available to season ticket holders and it was originally intended to allow a period for fans with stubs from the last two home games to buy first.

But with the tie delicately poised following a goalless first leg, and
Rovers just one game away from Wembley, the club has decided to try and maximise the attendance at the Keepmoat.

Southend have already sold over a thousand of their allocation of 3,000 tickets and could more than double that amount with the club laying on free transport for their supporters to travel to Doncaster for the crucial clash, which kicks off at 7.45pm.

Rovers will need all the support they can get on Friday and hope the fans will play their part in getting behind the team in their bid to win a place in the Championship.

If the scores are still level after ninety minutes extra time will be played, followed by penalties if necessary, and away goals do not count double.

The winners will play either Leeds United or Carlisle United in the play-off final at Wembley on May 25.

Leeds lost 2-1 at home to Carlisle last night and play the second leg at Brunton Park on Thursday night.
