WELSHMAN Chris Planchant aims to help Doncaster Knights finish the season in style - as he celebrates signing a new two year deal at the club.
The popular No 8, who joined from Waterloo last summer, has pledged his future to Knights ahead of tomorrow's home league clash with Bedford Blues (2.30pm).

Planchant broke into the side after a long term injury to influential captain Glen Wilson in December and has boosted their preparations for next season by agreeing the new contract.

Director of rugby Lynn Howells said: "I gave Chris an opportunity and wanted to make sure he got a good run of games before I made a judgement.

"Giving the lad just a few games was going to prove nothing.

"I'm glad Chris has come through this test and his contract extension is well deserved."
