Rovers were enjoying almost all the possession as Cheltenham continued to place the emphasis on defence.
McCammon sent a downward header just wide on Mills' right wing cross in the 69th minute before Town made a substitution three minutes later with Armstrong coming on for Russell.
O'Driscoll played his final cards in the 74th minute sending on Heffernan and Guy for McCammon and Coppinger.
A minute later and Rovers were level when Price headed the ball down for Green to slam home a left foot shot from point blank range.

It looked like the end for Doncaster but it needed a brilliant one handed save from Higgs to keep out a super header from Heffernan in the 86th minute as O'Driscoll's men refused to give up the fight.
