LAST season's Doncaster Rovers top scorer Paul Heffernan is set to move on loan to Bristol Rovers.
The Irish striker has made just 13 appearances for Rovers this term - mostly from the substitute's bench - and has fallen down the pecking order.

He spent a month on loan at Oldham Athletic in December when he scored one goal in four games under former boss Dave Penney.

The 28-year-old, a former Bristol City player, is likely to go straight into Rovers' squad for their League One clash at home to Walsall on Tuesday evening - should the paperwork go through in time.

The deadline for permanent transfers passed last Monday but Football League clubs can still loan players until another deadline passes in March.
