Doncaster In Bloom open for business

BLOOMING brilliant gardens and floral displays are to be recognised in an annual council competition.
Doncaster in Bloom 2007, open to individuals, businesses, local groups and organisations, is going in search of the borough's best horticultural delights.

And budding award winners can get their green fingers on a trophy or rake in some prize mone
y by submitting an entry before the June 30 deadline.

In a revised category list, judges will assess the overall quality of plants as well as design and maintenance in determining the best presented garden and best presented council-owned property garden. Originality will be the key to landing the best hanging basket or container prize.

There are also awards for the commercial premises contributing most to the attractiveness of the local area, the best community or group area, best environmental garden, while the young persons doing most to maintain a garden or feature will also be recognised.
