Man found dead in petrol station is named

A MAN found dead in a Doncaster village petrol station has been identified by police.
The body of 59-year-old Raymond Atkinson who had been reported as missing since last year, was discovered by a dog walker in a disused petrol station, in Barnsley Road, Marr.

Police carried out investigations since the discovery on January 23, however officers are not treating his death as suspicious.

Police said the family of Mr Atkinson, who was from the Oakwell area of Barnsley, are said to be "deeply upset" by his death however will not be releasing a statement.
