The Free Press was contacted by Paul Millward, part of the winning Edlington Victoria School,Gundry Shield winning football team in approximately 1982/1983 or 1983/1984.

He said: “We’re having a reunion at 2pm on Saturday 28 October 2023 at the Yorkshire Main Officials Club when all families from the winning team are welcome.

“We have 11/12 past players that are attending but we are still missing the last, Darren Ward. We are aware that Darren's mother is called Sue Alberry and may live in the Bentley area. Could we reach out and see if anyone knows her?

“We’re also unable to track the Gundry Shield. Doncaster Schools recently reformed and have no idea of its current whereabouts. Surely someone will know where this is or what happened to it?”
