SLIDESHOW: Plenty of fun for tots and mums

Waiting for Video...

A WEEKLY activity session is giving parents and tots the chance to spend quality time together - and make a bit of a mess!

About 25 families attend the Jack in a Box playgroup at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in Epworth every Wednesday morning for fun and games.

Youngsters up to the age of three come along with parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy crafts, cooking and toys.

Mum-of-three Sue Leese, 60, of High Street, Epworth, said the group has been going for about ten years and has grown in popularity.

She said: “The sessions are very well populated and are always a lot of fun.

“They can get really creative. We brought in a tray of snow when the bad weather was here to make little snowmen and we sometimes bake cakes, which the kids always enjoy.

“It is a great way for the youngsters to spend time with their parents, grandparents or carers and it helps them to develop their learning before starting school.”
