Good points to Point Sir David

IN response to Sir Danum's article last week I am writing to clarify some points around The Point.

The Point is an Arts organisation mostly working within certain areas, five in particular - these are communities, health and wellbeing, education, early years, and youth engagement. So, as Sir Danum rightly suggests, most people won't have heard of it.

The Point is, however, for anyone who wants to call in. It isn't just for hard-to-reach young people, people with a disability, just for the under fives between certain times of day, The Point is for everyone.

Most of the time there are some truly wonderful objects to be seen, both artwork and sculpture.

There is always sculpture on the ground floor, whatever form it takes. The gallery space is a wonderful open area, and it certain times, when empty, can be hired.

I have seen some inspirational exhibitions, been tempted to join the book and knitting clubs, and had several delicious lunches in the caf.

So, for anyone who doesn't know what The Point is, just walking past the building and searching on the internet will provide a wealth of information. The website has up to date details of activities that any member of the public can join. As for the Salutation, I'd be happy to meet Sir Danum for a drink to discuss further.
