TWO budding teenage politicians have taken part in a national debate in the House of Commons.

Doncaster duo Jasmine Womack, 17, and Leah Wren, 18, joined over 300 elected members of the Youth Parliament to decide its campaign for 2013.

Both Hayfield Academy pupil Jasmine and part-time worker Leah were elected as members of the UK Youth Parliament in 2011.

The debate was chaired by the Speaker of the House of Commons Rt Hon John Bercow MP and broadcast live on BBC Parliament, and a vote was cast that ‘A Curriculum To Prepare Us For Life’ would be next year’s campaign.
